Account information

When you create an account, we store your email address, display name, account creation time and study settings. For email and password accounts, we store a salted password hash rather than your plain-text password. If Google sign-in is available and you choose it, we receive your verified email address, name and Google account identifier.

Learning information

We save your lesson progress, exercise answers, quiz attempts, written submissions, revision items, study time and activity so you can continue learning across sessions and see your progress. These features are for study; please do not enter financial records, tax identifiers or other sensitive personal information in practice answers.

Hosting and session cookies

Account and learning information is stored in FinStudy’s Cloudflare-hosted database. Cloudflare may also process technical request information to operate the website. We use an essential session cookie to keep you signed in. Sessions expire after seven days, and signing out ends your current session.

Your choices

You can update your study settings, export your learning data or reset your study progress in Settings. Resetting progress does not delete your account. To request account deletion or ask about your information, contact hello@getfinstudy.com from your account email. We keep account and learning records while your account remains active, unless you reset or request removal of the relevant information.

Earlier early-access registrations

If you previously registered for early-access updates, we retain the email address, registration time and consent record you provided for that purpose. You can ask us to remove that entry using the contact above.
